The Buyer/Expeditor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of purchase orders and supplier follow- up activities to ensure material availability and uninterrupted supply to operations. The role focuses on transactional excellence, expediting, order confirmation, delivery monitoring, and ERP data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
? Create and release purchase orders.
? Obtain supplier acknowledgements and commitment dates.
? Maintain current expediting information.
? Follow up on late deliveries and past-due orders.
? Update ERP data including dates, quantities, pricing, and supplier commitments.
? Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies.
? Escalate material shortages and supplier issues.
? Support RFQ activities and sourcing requests.
? Maintain compliance with approved suppliers, contracts, and pricing.
Key Skills
? Attention to detail ? Organization and prioritization
? Communication and follow-up ? ERP proficiency
? Basic procurement knowledge ? Problem solving
Education
? High School Diploma required.
? DEC / Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations
Management, or a related field preferred.
? APICS/ASCM, PMAC, or equivalent procurement certification considered an asset.
Experience
? 0-2 years of purchasing, logistics, inventory management, customer service, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
