About this role

About Us

*CanPay* is a professional, agile payroll services provider dedicated to creating a comfortable, friendly, and collaborative work environment focused on team success and a healthy work-life balance.

What We Offer

  • *Work-Life Balance:* Structured daytime hours with predictable scheduling.
  • *Collaborative Culture:* A friendly, supportive, and engaging team environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, responsible, and detail-oriented *Payroll Administrator* to join our fast-paced payroll team. Key Responsibilities

  • *Full-Cycle Processing:* Handle multi-province computerized payroll processing from start to finish.
  • *Data Management:* Input hourly tracking, process pay increases, calculate bonuses, and manage employee deductions.
  • *Calculations & Adjustments:* Compute statutory holiday pay and overtime while balancing individual gross-to-net payroll runs.
  • *Client Financials:* Prepare billing advices, generate direct deposit files, and ensure accurate data analysis.
  • *Compliance & Filings:* Balance CRA source deduction payments, file WCB/WSIB, manage EHT balancing, and issue ROEs and T4s.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • *Experience:* Minimum of one (1) year of dedicated experience in a payroll-related field.
  • *Technical Skills:* Solid, functional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized payroll systems.
  • *Fast-Paced Capability:* Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently hit tight, non-negotiable deadlines.
  • *Problem Solving:* Strong analytical skills with the initiative to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • *Communication & Collaboration:* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, team-player mindset.
  • *Core Traits:* High reliability, exceptional organizational skills, and a strict attention to detail.
