About this role
Amazon Advertising is building a new vertical ads platform from the ground up — purpose-built to simplify full-funnel advertising for strategic verticals like financial services, autos, and local businesses. You'll design and deliver AI-powered advertising solutions that use specialized agentic models to diversify demand across these verticals, working on a greenfield problem without established patterns to follow. This is a startup-style team with an ambitious vision: make it dramatically easier for advertisers in underserved verticals to launch effective full-funnel campaigns at scale. You'll work closely with a Principal Engineer and scientists to build the tools, services, and frameworks that power these new offerings — from backend infrastructure to the agentic AI systems that simplify campaign creation and optimization.

- Participate in design discussions and code reviews, contributing to engineering quality in a team that's establishing its technical foundations
- Mentor peers and contribute to a strong engineering culture as the team grows
