Tasks
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
- Review work order to determine job specifications.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
- Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures.
- Type of product: Power tools.
- Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads.
- Physically demanding.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
