About this role
We are looking for a SENDCo/Inclusion Lead with a part-time teaching responsibility to join our team here at Woodvale.
Are you passionate about ensuring every child can thrive, regardless of need or starting point?
At Woodvale Primary Academy, our vision is simple: Everyone Thriving. We are seeking an ambitious, compassionate and highly-skilled Inclusion Leader and SENDCo to lead and develop our inclusive practice, ensuring that all pupils receive the support, challenge and opportunities they need to succeed.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Leadership Team and play a central role in shaping the provision for some of our most vulnerable learners. The successful candidate will lead SEND across the school, oversee our growing Enhanced Provision, work closely with families and external agencies, and support colleagues in delivering high-quality inclusive practice.
Unlike many SENDCo roles, we recognise that effective leadership of inclusion requires dedicated time. The successful candidate will have a part-time teaching commitment, with significant non-contact leadership time to focus on strategic development, staff coaching, statutory responsibilities and improving outcomes for pupils.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice.
- Is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every child.
- Can inspire, support and challenge colleagues.
- Values strong relationships with children, families and external professionals.
- Has the vision and drive to lead inclusion across a large and ambitious primary school.
In return, we offer
- Enthusiastic, hardworking children who are keen to learn.
- A supportive and collaborative staff team.
- A well-established culture built around our values of We Strive, We Support, We Succeed.
- A genuine commitment to inclusion and improving life chances for all pupils.
- The opportunity to shape and develop our Enhanced Provision and wider inclusion strategy.
- Ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities.
