About this role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Key Stage 2 Nurture Class Teacher, initially working with pupils in our Orchard provision who have a range of SEND needs and barriers to learning. This rewarding role requires a patient, creative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching, as you will be tasked with finding innovative ways to engage and support each child's individual learning journey. As part of a supportive and dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, helping them build confidence and develop essential skills. If you are committed to providing nurturing, tailored education and are excited by the opportunity to help children thrive in a caring environment, we would love to hear from you.

About Us

Brompton Hall School is based within private grounds in the pretty village of Brompton-by-Sawdon and is a Special Education School for pupils aged between 8 and 16 years.

Our Multi Academy Trust is a group of inspirational and aspirational mainstream and specialist schools in North Yorkshire, Hull and South Yorkshire whose main objective is to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress through the development of outstanding staff.

Our Pupils

We are a specialist school for pupils aged 8 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Our pupils join us from mainstream schools because they benefit from a setting that can provide additional behavioural support and a more personalised approach to helping them succeed.

We use a therapeutic approach to help support children and young people with their emotional and social development using practical strategies and techniques, built around online assessments that identify children’s emotional development and provides action plans for their individual needs.

Research has shown that how we behave is linked to how we feel, and our emotions are linked to how we learn. By teaching children to recognise and notice these feelings and emotions it can help with their development and learning.

At Brompton Hall, we believe every young person deserves a fresh start, a sense of belonging, and the chance to thrive. We are committed to helping each student rediscover their strengths, rebuild trust, and reimagine their future.

You will

  • Be a strong classroom practitioner
  • Motivate and develop the children in your care
  • Be passionate about seeing young people succeed

We can offer you

  • A supportive working environment.
  • A commitment to professional development.
  • An opportunity to work with a dynamic team within the school, and wider within the trust.
