Requirements
- Strong hands-on infrastructure experience, including networking, firewalls, Active Directory and Hyper-V virtualisation
- Understanding of Microsoft cloud, with the capability to develop expertise in data governance using Purview
- Ability to work on site in Cardiff five days a week
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain networking, firewalls, switching, Active Directory and Hyper-V virtualisation
- Handle patching, fault-finding, upgrades and third-line support to keep systems resilient
- Help lead our move to the Microsoft cloud, including data governance with Purview
- Set up sensitivity labels, classification and retention policies in partnership with the business
- Support end users and resolve issues across our hybrid on-premises and Azure environment

Join our small IT team as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer and take ownership of the core infrastructure at our busy Cardiff manufacturing site. Youll work alongside an existing senior infrastructure engineer, with the opportunity to shape our infrastructure and help develop our Microsoft cloud environment. This is a site-based role, five days a week. Our hours are 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:45 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, with flexitime. We offer a salary of up to £55,000, pension contributions of up to 10%, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days with service), free on-site parking, an on-site canteen, enhanced family and sickness pay, an Employee Assistance Programme and life insurance at four times your salary.
