About this role

Job summary

This is an ideal role for a suitably qualified psychologist with a keen interest in extensive opportunities for service development and supporting patients with complex needs. We have close links to the University of Southampton's clinical psychology training course, and there are regular opportunities to have trainee clinical psychologists on placement.

We can be flexible about hours worked, though you will be asked to participate in team meetings at certain times in the week. Remote working will be limited, as this role requires working with patients on the ward and the CRHTT (Crisis Resolution Home Treatment) team.

You will be expected to hold a couple of long-term cases from the community teams, and there is also potential to work closely with the IOW acute psychology team.

Main duties of the job

As a senior clinician, with substantial clinical experience and post-qualification training, the post-holder will provide a high level of expertise across the Acute Care Services. The post-holder will oversee and co-ordinate service development and direct delivery of psychological assessment and interventions in line with the current evidence base and best practice.
