Software Engineer @ TEKsystems

Our client is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join its team in Winston-Salem. This is a great opportunity for an early-career developer looking to build hands-on experience across a variety of applications and technologies. You dont need to come in knowing everything. They are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is curious, adaptable, driven, and willing to learn. Just as importantly, this is a highly collaborative team, so theyre looking for someone who enjoys solving problems with others, communicating ideas, and being an active part of the team. What Youll Do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript/React, and SQL.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, data, and performance issues and work with the team to identify solutions.
• Contribute to new development as well as improvements to existing applications.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support existing internal applications and business tools.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and process workflows.
• Work collaboratively with other developers and team members across a variety of projects.
• Continuously learn new technologies, systems, and development practices.

• A solid foundation in software development and programming fundamentals.
• Exposure to C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, and/or React through coursework, internships, professional experience, or personal projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work through unfamiliar challenges.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working collaboratively with others.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical partners.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
