Maintenance Technician @ Aerotek

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Technical Specialist)| Pay Range: $31.50- 33.50

Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician (Technical Specialist) is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing high-speed production lines used to manufacture home and garden products. This role focuses on mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment adjustments to ensure maximum uptime, consistent product quality, and safe, efficient operation of packaging and production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and perform changeovers on production and packaging lines.
• Maintain and repair:
• Conveyors
• Gearboxes
• Motors
• Fillers
• Cappers
• Labeling equipment
• Packaging machines
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment issues.
• Operate machinery during startups, changeovers, and production runs.
• Replace motors and gearboxes as needed.
• Perform basic electrical tasks, including wiring and rewiring motors.
• Conduct quality checks on equipment and products.
• Work with machine operators and production staff to keep lines running efficiently.
• Coordinate with electricians for advanced electrical repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with high-speed production or packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience performing machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Experience replacing motors and gearboxes.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
• Basic electrical knowledge and motor wiring experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair packaging equipment.
• Experience performing quality inspections.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Food manufacturing or process manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of:
• Conveyors
• Gearboxes
• Motors
• Fillers
• Cappers
• Labeling equipment
• Packaging machinery
• Familiarity with maintenance documentation and PM programs.
• Strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work closely with maintenance and production teams.

Schedule

• 12-hour rotating schedul
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
• Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland, MO.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.50 - $33.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
