Industrial Maintenance Manager
Position SummaryThe Industrial Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance department, focusing on team leadership, maintenance planning, equipment reliability, and minimizing production downtime. This is a hands-off management role responsible for directing maintenance activities rather than performing repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, and develop the maintenance team.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Prioritize work orders, equipment repairs, and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate equipment downtime, installations, and outside contractors.
- Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and departmental resources.
- Partner with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including OSHA and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Track downtime and recurring equipment issues and drive corrective actions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with previous leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs preferred.
- Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ionia, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
