Job Title: Batch Mixer (This is a 1st or 2nd shift opportunity $25-27 an hour)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Batch Mixer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating chemicals, weighing raw materials, and handling liquids and powders from drums, totes, and bags. You will pour and place materials into reactors, monitor gauges and controls, and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Detailed record-keeping is essential, as you will work with batches up to 4000 gallons and monitor machinery such as pumps, mixers, and milling machines. In case of any issues, you will promptly notify maintenance. Additionally, you will perform housekeeping duties and communicate batch records with the next shift and supervisors.Responsibilities

• Attend daily safety meetings. • Receive and interpret batch sheets. • Formulate chemicals and weigh raw materials. • Handle liquids and powders from drums, totes, and bags. • Pour and place materials into reactors. • Check gauges and controls. • Follow all SOPs and keep detailed records. • Monitor machinery such as pumps, mixers, and milling machines. • Notify maintenance immediately if problems arise. • Perform housekeeping duties while machines are running or after batches are finished. • Communicate batch records with the next shift and supervisors. • Work alongside helpers, ensuring they understand basic job duties and safety procedures. • Assist with packaging, staging, and preparing orders as needed. • Receive full training from supervisors. Essential Skills

• 3 years of manufacturing experience. • 3 years of blending, formulating, chemical operating, and batch mixing experience. • Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical environments preferred over food industries. • Proficiency with HMI, touch screen, and control screen operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Both facilities prioritize safety and offer a supportive and engaging work atmosphere. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.75 - $29.95/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
