Job Description
- 1. Communicates with Scaffold Builders and others to perform tasks.
- 2. Selects proper size and type of building materials according to the project specifications and dimensions.
- 3. Plans the installation to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of the other workers.
- 4. Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening them together with nails, scaffold pins.
- 5. Verifies the trueness of a structure using a plumb bob and carpenters level.
- 6. Erects framework for structures.
- 7. Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- 8. Loads transports, unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
9. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- 10. Clean and perform minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
- 11. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- 12. Restocks supplies and materials as necessary.
- 13. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
- 14. Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary.
- 15. Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
- 16. Safely operates power tools and equipment.
- 17. Adheres to all safety procedures.
- 18. Typically requires a minimum of 6 years industrial construction experience.
