Job Description
- 1. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- 2. Works in confined spaces.
- 3. Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments.
- 4. Dismantles machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
- 5. Moves machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- 6. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.
- 7. Drills holes, aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, hacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, indicators, A-lines, and lasers.
- 8. Assembles machines and bolts, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundations or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
- 9. Performs the Epoxy grout.
- 10. Measures, cuts and installs hangers, using hand tools and ladders.
- 11. Loads, transports, unload, materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
12. May assist in rigging, lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- 13. Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
- 14. Adheres to all safety procedures.
- 15. Typically requires a minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience.
