Serve as a role model and deliver quality patient care, demonstrating clinical skill and knowledge.
Support the Nurse Manager in operational and clinical leadership of the unit/department.
Lead and support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Monitor and manage unit resources, including staffing and budget considerations.

Minimum Requirements Education
Graduated from an accredited Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, or higher.
Licensure
Current unrestricted RN license required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI) may be required based on unit specialty.
Experience
Two to three years of clinical nursing experience. Specialty experience may be required based on unit/department (e.g., OR, ICU, ED).
Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
Preferred Requirements BSN preferred
Pay Range $43.40 - $59.68
Other Information
- Position: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week. Weekdays and occasional weekend
- 2 days office, 3 days staffing on the unit

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.
