Job Title: Welding AssistantJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Welding Assistant, where you will perform basic welds on pre-assembled jigs, assist welders in grinding structures, and execute coating processes. Responsibilities

• Perform basic welds on pre-assembled jigs following standard Work Instructions (WIs).
• Assist welders in grinding structures free of sharp edges and weld protrusions.
• Execute coating processes as required.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in safety and quality training programs.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of welding experience.
• Completion of basic welding school or vocational training.
• Ability to pass internal weld test for basic joints.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, blueprint reading, and general labor tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in stainless steel welding, automotive manufacturing, and assembly.
• No initial welding certifications required.

Work EnvironmentWork in a hands-on environment that involves frequent use of hands and fingers for welding, grinding, and assembly tasks. You must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 40 lbs, with occasional assistance for heavier items. The role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods during a shift. Good hand-eye coordination, visual acuity, and the ability to hear alarms and communicate effectively in a noisy environment are essential. You will be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, welding fumes, dust, and airborne particles, necessitating the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures. Work is performed on uneven, metal, or grating surfaces, with potential for climbing ladders or working at elevated positions.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.43 - $24.03/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
