Order Picker - Warehouse

Overview
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, moving, and tracking orders in a clean, modern distribution facility. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, or stand up forklift and/or reach truck experience, and strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Verify and reconcile shipping and delivery documents, including manifests and bills of lading.
- Label, weigh, and measure freight to ensure accurate records and shipment processing.
- Document damaged, missing, or misrouted freight and complete required reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Safely load and unload orders from trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles.
- Move, sort, and stage materials based on destination, route, and shipment requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret freight labels, shipment codes, and routing information.
Skills
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, shipping, or dock environment.
- Ability to accurately read freight labels, shipment information, and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle freight throughout the shift.
- Previous forklift operating experience (stand up forklift OR reach truck).
- Commitment to safe work practices and reliable attendance.

Work Environment
This position is based in a fast-paced warehouse and dock environment where safety, teamwork, and efficiency are top priorities. Employees will operate forklifts and handle freight throughout the shift.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Independence, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
