As a Data Engineer at DFDS, you’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that builds and maintains the data infrastructure powering decision-making across the company. You’ll work closely with our data platform team, data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.

You’ll join our Copenhagen Data Engineering Chapter, a growing community of engineers passionate about building scalable data solutions. We work with a modern tech stack including dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS components like S3, and we’re always exploring new ways to improve our data platform.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Airflow and dbt

Design and optimize data models in Snowflake for analytics and reporting

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions

Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems

Contribute to the evolution of our data platform and engineering best practices

Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the chapter

Support the onboarding of new tools and technologies as we scale

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:

Experience with data engineering tools such as dbt, Airflow, or similar

Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS)

Solid understanding of SQL and data modelling principles

A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

A desire to learn and grow within a supportive team environment
