The St Bart's Multi Academy Trust, in partnership with Governors, staff and children of Nantwich Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and committed team.

Job Purpose
To be responsible for the maintenance and security of the school premises and site, ensuring a safeenvironment.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Ensure that buildings and the site are secure, including during out of school hours and takeremedial action if requiredAct as the designated key holder for the school premisesOperate and regularly check systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security (includingCCTV and alarms)Undertake minor repairs (i.e. not requiring qualified craftsperson) and maintenance of the buildingsand siteArrange emergency repairsArrange regular maintenance and safety checksOversee onsite maintenance contractors, checking that work is completed to required standardsand within required timescalesMonitor stock and order suppliesUndertake general portage duties, including moving furniture and equipment within the schoolPerform duties in line with health and safety and COSHH regulations and take action wherehazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediatelyUndertake regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, (includingcompliance with fire safety regulations) and equipment, in line with other schedulesMonitor the work of and manage cleaning and other site staffOversee and make decisions on all planned maintenanceEnsure the operation and maintenance of specialised equipment following training, for examplesports/theatrical equipmentFacilitate lettings and carry out associated tasks, in line with local agreementsHandle small amounts of cash for the purchase of materials to carry out repairsBe responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within theacademy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/proceduresAny other duties appropriate to the post.Our Offer To You
