About this role
The Truck Driver position is responsible for the transportation and transfer of product in between facilities. This position is also responsible for performing other shipping unloader/loader duties during non-driving time.

- Transfers trailers between facilities in a truck.
- Operates a yard truck to position trailers to appropriate loading/unloading docks as requested by shipping and receiving departments.
- Maintains accurate logs for all trailers in the yard.
- Operates a forklift within the plant during non-driving time when loading/unloading trucks or rail cars.
- When the truck is not in operation, the employee assists with other duties (EX: drives forklift instructed by manager) Conducts daily inspections of vehicles at the beginning and end of the shift; reports any problems or damages to management.
- Safely and efficiently operates forklift; performs required daily inspections Reads and understands Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets.
- Uses daily pick sheet, picks full and partial pallets, wraps pallets, when necessary, stages product for loading, checks pallets for accuracy to order Maintains clean and organized aisles and rack storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed Inventories product as needed; labels, sorts, wraps, and ties product Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
- Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
- Maintains a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and all required medical certifications and qualifications necessary to legally operate commercial motor vehicles.
