About the role
- In this role you will perform specialist diagnostic testing and clinical interpretation that underpins safe and timely solid organ and stem cell transplantation and complex transfusion support across Australia.
- Our service focuses on histocompatibility and immunogenetics, particularly the highly polymorphic human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system to help clinicians assess donor / recipient compatibility, quantify immunological risk, and guide patient management before and after transplantation.

- Accountabilities: Sample accessioning and preparation for testing Diagnostic testing via molecular and / or serological methods Analysis and interpretation of testing results Chemical, reagent and equipment management Participate in 24/7 on-call roster to support deceased donor testing Sound interesting?
- Here’s what we’re looking for: A minimum education level of Bachelor of Science (Hons) with a major in Immunology or Genetics Higher qualifications in a related field an advantage Previous experience in a pathology laboratory or similar regulated environment an advantage Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Understanding of quality systems Willingness to enhance knowledge and to grow and develop in the field Benefits and Wellbeing We place our employee's well-being at the forefront and express gratitude and care for one another.
