Senior Manager – Data Strategy & Governance We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Data Strategy & Governance to join our growing MENA Technology Consulting team in Egypt, and lead enterprise Data Strategy, Governance and Data Management transformations across Egypt and MENA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy, Data Governance and Data Management transformation engagements.
- Define governance frameworks, operating models, policies, standards and implementation roadmaps.
- Establish data ownership, stewardship, metadata, business glossaries, catalogues and lineage capabilities.
- Lead Data Quality, Master & Reference Data, Data Classification, Privacy and Security initiatives.
- Advise C-suite stakeholders on data strategy, regulatory requirements and governance technology choices.
- Lead solutioning, proposals, RFP responses and business development.
- Provide leadership and mentoring across multidisciplinary Data Governance and Data Management teams.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Management or Data Advisory, with leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data governance and transformation programs.
- Strong C-suite advisory, consulting, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Good understanding of data privacy, security, regulatory compliance and GDPR.
- Industry experience preferably across Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, Energy & Utilities, Telecom, Consumer & Retail, or Real Estate & Infrastructure.
- Prior Big Four, management consulting or technology consulting experience is highly preferred.
- Experience across Egypt/MENA and readiness to travel across MENA based on client needs.
- Skills Required Data Governance: Metadata Management, Data Catalogues, Business & Technical Glossaries, Data Lineage, Stewardship and Critical Data Elements.
- Data Quality: Data Profiling, quality rules, monitoring, controls and remediation.
- Data Management: Master Data Management, Reference Data Management and data lifecycle management.
Privacy & Security
- Data Classification, Data Security, GDPR, masking and handling controls.
- Governance Platforms: Microsoft Purview, Informatica IDMC/EDC/IDQ, IBM Knowledge Catalog, Collibra and Alation.
- Open-Source Governance: Apache Atlas, OpenMetadata and DataHub.
- Data Quality & Observability: Great Expectations, Soda, Monte Carlo and similar platforms.
- Understanding of how Data Governance, Data Quality and trusted data foundations enable Analytics, AI, GenAI and Responsible AI at enterprise scale.
