BUTCHERY APPRENTICE Turn your interest in butchery into a rewarding, hands-on career! We're looking for a motivated apprentice to join our Butchery team and work towards the New Zealand Certificate in Trade Butchery (Level 4). You'll earn while you learn, gaining practical experience, trade skills and a nationally recognised qualification while being mentored by butchers with over 80 years of combined industry experience.
What you'll be doing
Preparing, trimming and presenting a range of meat products Traying, packing and labelling products for sale Maintaining attractive, well-stocked displays Rotating stock and checking product quality Providing friendly and professional customer service Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness Learning the skills and techniques required to become a qualified butcher
What we're looking for
A genuine interest in butchery and learning a trade Reliable, hardworking and motivated Willing to learn and follow instructions Strong attention to detail Good communication and customer service skills Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards A positive attitude and strong work ethic Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 6.00am - 2.30pm (40 hours per week) Ready to take the first step towards a career in butchery?
