Full time unionized postion , weekdays Monday to Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm and 7 am to 3:30pm $19.08 hr with benefits Job Description The Cafeteria Food Worker is responsible for preparing and serving food, operating the cash register, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing excellent customer service. This role supports daily cafeteria operations and may assist other departments as needed. Working Monday to Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm or 7 am to 3:30pm Job Responsibilities Prepare and serve food and beverages according to food safety standards.
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, serving stations, kitchen equipment, and workspaces. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils as required. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory using FIFO practices. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Support catering, special events, and other food service functions when required. Assist other departments with general duties as needed. Serve customers at Deli, short order or hot meals work the Tim Horton station , baking donuts or serving coffee Qualifications Previous food service, cafeteria, restaurant, or customer service experience is an asset.
Food Handler Certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
