YOUR EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE IF YOU JOIN US As part of a global business transformation of our Industrials & Commodities Product Lines, we are recruiting a Digital Product Manager - Upstream Labs (F-M-D) on a permanent contract . Reporting to Commodities Digital Products Director, you will join a team of experts. This position could be based in one of our European agencies. You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of the digital transformation of our Upstream Commodities laboratories and testing operations, including the unification of legacy LIMS platforms into one common system.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH Your mission is to lead digitalization and innovation projects within the Upstream Commodities business, ensuring improved efficiency and a superior client experience in the execution of our services. Your role is essential to strengthening the efficiency and quality of our operations while delivering a lasting competitive advantage.
You will
- Define and manage customer-centric digital products, end-to-end from job request to delivery and invoicing, aligned with Commodities business strategy, customer needs, and BV's digital strategy
- Build deep knowledge of workflows, operational pain points and opportunities across the global labs network, driving alignment of a common operating model and unifying legacy laboratory applications into one common LIMS
- Translate operational processes into clear, actionable, user-centric product requirements that respect labs realities and reflect industry best practices in digital experience
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of laboratory technical data — building a trusted foundation for analytics, reporting and new service development — through an API-first approach enabling seamless integration into customer platforms
- Embed innovation by leveraging data, AI and new technologies to create competitive advantage and operational excellence
- Steer project execution by coordinating cross-functional teams, formalizing specifications, organizing business acceptance testing, and overseeing deployment with structured change management to ensure adoption and timely benefits realization
- Define success metrics, monitor post-launch benefits realization, and execute a value-based roadmap for continuous improvement driven by customer engagement and data insights
- Report on program progress and digital product performance to Commodities business stakeholders THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT Experience leading digital solutions implementation in commodities upstream business — Enables you to quickly grasp the specific challenges of Upstream Commodities and deliver digital products that truly meet business needs from day one.
Deep knowledge of upstream workflows, laboratory operating models, processes and LIMS platforms — Allows you to design solutions that respect labs operational realities and successfully drive the unification of legacy systems into a common LIMS. Proven track record in process optimization for laboratories and testing operations — Helps you identify improvement opportunities and translate them into measurable efficiency gains across the global labs network. Demonstrated ability to leverage digital innovation, data and AI to drive measurable business improvement — Ensures you can embed cutting-edge technologies into our products to create a genuine, lasting competitive advantage.
Leadership, initiative and strong cross-functional collaboration, with an end-user and customer-centric mindset — Enables you to align business stakeholders, clients and development teams around a shared vision and drive projects to successful completion.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
You hold a Master’s degree in engineering or business from a relevant engineering or business school. You have proven experience leading digital product implementation and process optimization in commodities upstream laboratory and testing operations, ideally with a strong interest in LIMS platforms and the digitalization of upstream commodities businesses (Metals & Minerals and Agriculture).
