ROLE DESCRIPTOR
The KS2 Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a class of Key Stage 2 pupils, ensuring that all children make good progress from their starting points.
The role includes planning, preparation, and assessment, as well as contributing to the wider life of the school. The postholder will be expected to maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement, support pupils’ personal development, and work effectively as part of a team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding, and continuous professional development.

Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all pupils at all timesPlan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the National CurriculumDifferentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND, EAL, and higher-attaining pupilsAssess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and next stepsProvide constructive feedback to pupils to support their learning and developmentEstablish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviourWork collaboratively with colleagues to plan, moderate, and share best practiceCommunicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil progress and wellbeingContribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, events, and extracurricular activitiesParticipate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
