About this role
We are recruiting an experienced Night Team Manager to oversee two Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP) services in Victoria and Kilburn, supporting people experiencing rough sleeping during periods of cold weather.
Location: Victoria & Kilburn, London
Contract: Temporary, approximately 2-3 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Three waking night shifts (10 hours each) between Saturday and Wednesday, plus one day shift on Friday (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm)
Please note: Friday shifts can be worked from home, with equipment provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the cold weather shelters, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
- Supervise, motivate and develop staff, including Shift Leads and Night Support Workers.
- Coordinate recruitment, staff induction and workforce deployment.
- Oversee safeguarding, risk assessments, incident management and client wellbeing.
- Embed trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.
- Monitor support plans, case records, service quality and performance.
- Build effective partnerships with Westminster City Council, housing, outreach and health services.
- Contribute to contract monitoring, service reviews and budget management.
Essential Requirements
- Significant management experience in homelessness, rough sleeping, supported housing or services supporting people with multiple disadvantages.
- Proven experience leading and developing staff teams.
- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding, risk management and incident response.
- Experience in trauma-informed support, case management and quality assurance.
- Understanding of performance monitoring and contractual requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
Desirable: Experience in emergency accommodation, SWEP or cold weather shelters.
