About this role
Orka Financial is recruiting a qualified Management Accountant for a three-to-six-month interim assignment in Hook, Hampshire. The role pays £210–£230 per day, starts as soon as possible and offers a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two days from home.
The opportunity
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will help maintain accurate reporting and strong financial controls while supporting a busy finance function through an important period. This is a hands-on assignment combining regular month-end activity with forecasting, compliance and process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare clear and timely internal financial reports.
- Produce weekly cash-flow forecasts and monthly VAT returns.
- Post month-end journals and complete general-ledger and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Provide monthly financial information to the wider group finance team.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and statutory-accounts work.
- Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to ad hoc finance projects.
- Identify practical improvements to financial and operational processes.
About you
- ACCA or CIMA qualified, with solid management and financial reporting experience.
- Strong, up-to-date technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
- Organised, confident managing competing priorities and able to communicate effectively across the business.
- A practical self-starter who can combine professional rigour with commercial needs.
- Inventory experience would be useful.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Navision would be advantageous but is not essential.
