SEND Teaching Assistant - Year 3 and 5
Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Bedford, starting immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience working in a school, who is passionate about supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
The Role
- Supporting pupils across Year 3 and Year 5.
- Working in Year 5 in the morning and Year 3 in the afternoon.
- Providing classroom support to help pupils engage with their learning.
- Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, supportive learning environment.
- Working closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working in a school setting.
- Has experience supporting children with SEND.
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills.
- Is confident, patient and proactive when supporting pupils with different learning needs.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is reliable, adaptable and available to start immediately.
