We're a growing outsourced property management business, working with letting agents across the UK to deliver high-quality, white-labelled property management services.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated, commercially minded and proactive individual to join us as our Head of Property Management.
You don't need to have held this exact title before. What matters is that you have the experience, confidence and ambition to grow into the role.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to move beyond managing your own portfolio and take responsibility for the wider property management operation.
Working closely with the Director, you'll play a key role in developing our team, improving processes, maintaining service standards and helping shape the future of Happy Agent.
We're looking for someone who enjoys finding solutions, takes ownership and genuinely cares about delivering great service.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading and developing the team
- Supporting, mentoring and managing our Property Management team.
- Providing guidance on complex maintenance, compliance, tenancy and landlord matters.
- Monitoring workloads, performance and service standards.
- Helping build a positive, accountable and supportive team culture.
- Identifying training needs and opportunities for professional development.
Overseeing property management operations
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of property management services across our client portfolios.
- Overseeing maintenance, compliance, tenancy renewals, arrears management and other core property management activities.
- Managing escalated landlord, tenant and client-agent queries.
- Ensuring processes are followed consistently and efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of compliance with relevant lettings legislation.
Supporting business growth
- Working closely with senior management to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency.
- Supporting the successful onboarding of new letting agency clients.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our agency partners.
- Helping develop our service offering as the business continues to expand.
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance, productivity and customer experience.
What We're Looking For
We're not necessarily looking for someone who's already a Head of Property Management.
We're looking for someone who has the foundations to become a great one.
Ideally, you'll have
- Strong experience in residential property management, ideally at Senior Property Manager or Team Leader level.
- Excellent knowledge of lettings legislation, compliance and property management processes in England.
- Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues, or a genuine desire to move into people management.
- Confidence handling difficult conversations, complaints and escalations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how a successful property management operation should run.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
A Propertymark qualification would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
