Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing North East business in the search for a Senior Finance Administrator to join its finance team.
This is a varied role offering exposure across sales ledger, credit control, payroll, banking and month-end accounting activities. Working within a collaborative finance function, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial and payroll processing across multiple entities.
The Role
As the Senior Finance Administrator you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing sales invoicing and customer receipts
- Carrying out proactive credit control activities
- Processing monthly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll
- Administering pensions and HMRC submissions
- Preparing bank payments and reconciliations
- Posting journals and supporting month-end processes
- Assisting with VAT, audit and financial reporting activities
- Helping drive continuous improvement across finance processes
About You
You'll ideally have experience gained within a finance administration, accounts or bookkeeping environment and be comfortable managing a varied workload.
You'll bring
- Experience with Sage 50 Accounts and/or Sage 50 Payroll
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, organised approach
- Confidence working with financial data and resolving discrepancies
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
- AAT qualification or qualified-by-experience background
