Are you an Engineering, Construction or Quantity Surveying graduate looking to kickstart your career in estimating, where you'll receive full training from industry experts and gain hands-on experience working on multimillion-pound construction tenders?
Established in the 1980s, this specialist manufacturer produces concrete products for construction and agricultural applications. The company supplies structural components for building projects, commercial developments and infrastructure works across the UK, combining in-house manufacturing with project delivery and installation services.
In this role, you will receive full training to prepare costings and quotations for concrete projects, including materials, manufacturing and delivery costs. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will learn to interpret technical drawings, review project specifications and support tender submissions for projects worth millions of pounds, with a clear route to becoming a Senior Estimator.
This role would suit a recent graduate looking to build a career in construction estimating, gain hands-on experience and develop their skills within an established and growing business.
The Role
- Prepare costings and quotations for precast concrete projects
- Calculate material, manufacturing and delivery costs
- Review technical drawings and project specifications
- Support tender submissions for multimillion-pound projects
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing
- Full training provided with progression to a senior estimating position
The Person
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related subject
- Interest in construction, costings and technical drawings
- Keen to learn and develop a career in estimating
- Commutable to Workington
