The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a professional financial planning environment covering the Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent area.
This position would suit a technically capable Paraplanner with experience supporting Financial Advisers, preparing suitability reports and delivering high-quality financial planning support within an IFA, wealth management or financial services business.
You will play an important role in the financial planning process, undertaking research, preparing client recommendations and ensuring advice documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered to a high standard.
Candidates with strong technical knowledge, excellent report-writing skills and a thorough understanding of pensions and investments are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to Financial Advisers.
- Prepare suitability reports, recommendation letters and supporting financial planning documentation.
- Conduct research into pensions, investments, retirement planning and tax-efficient financial solutions.
- Analyse client circumstances, objectives and existing financial arrangements to support appropriate recommendations.
- Prepare pension, investment and retirement planning comparisons and research.
- Support cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis where required.
- Research products and solutions across pensions, ISAs, bonds, investment portfolios and other relevant financial planning areas.
- Liaise with providers, platforms and third parties to obtain valuations, policy information and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate client files and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage multiple cases, prioritise workloads and work to agreed deadlines.
- Work closely with advisers and colleagues to deliver a professional, efficient and client-focused service.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a Paraplanner or Financial Planning support role within an IFA, wealth management or financial advice business.
- Experience preparing suitability reports and supporting financial recommendations.
- Good technical knowledge of pensions, investments and retirement planning.
- Understanding of FCA regulations, financial services compliance and suitability requirements.
- Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial planning or back-office systems.
Qualifications
A Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, or equivalent, is desirable. Progress towards Chartered status or additional CII qualifications would be advantageous, although relevant practical Paraplanning experience and technical capability will also be considered.
Salary and Location
Salary: Up to £45,000. This is the absolute maximum available.
Location: Crewe / Stoke-on-Trent, with candidates from the surrounding Cheshire, Staffordshire and wider North West areas considered.
