We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Banktech. We power some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Through automation, data, cloud, and modern engineering practices, we help financial institutions modernize their core platforms and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in API design, microservices architecture, and domain-driven development. This role plays a key part in the development of our Equity, Funds, and Savings solutions, with a particular focus on the Funds domain. You will contribute to building scalable, secure, and maintainable product solutions where technical excellence and business understanding go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities
- API Design & Development: Design, implement, and evolve RESTful APIs with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.
- Microservices Architecture: Develop and maintain microservices-based solutions in a distributed and event-driven architecture.
- Funds Domain Expertise: Understand fund business processes and translate functional requirements into robust and sustainable technical solutions.
- Design & Engineering Practices: Apply domain-driven design principles, design patterns, and best engineering practices to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
- Business Collaboration: Work closely with Business and System Analysts to implement complex business scenarios and workflows.
- Modern Tooling & Frameworks: Utilize appropriate frameworks and tools to enable efficient development, integration, and delivery.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong programming experience in SQL, C#, and .NET
- Proven expertise in API design and microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of domain-driven design and design patterns
- Experience implementing complex business processes and workflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in the Funds or Capital Markets domain
- Minimum 7 years of experience working with enterprise-grade solutions
- Knowledge of security best practices for APIs and distributed systems
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Experience with front-end development in Angular
- Experience working in a product organization
