St. Joseph’s are currently seeking a HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
The main duties of the role are as follows:
To complement the work of teachers, with responsibility for teaching and learning activities which may include planning, preparing and delivering specialist support to individual pupils, groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism. To deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time. To be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or supervision of other teaching assistants, including allocating and monitoring work, mentoring and training. To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
We are seeking an individual who has:
HLTA status and a relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification Training in relevant learning strategies / curriculum / learning areas Experience in delivering lessons to individuals, groups and classes Experience of preparing and developing resources to meet learning needs & for education plans Experience of working within a schools’ ethos and supporting the aims of the school
