To support this mission, Syngenta’s Invoice to Pay team is looking for a Payment Processor in Montevideo. This role will support the following activities.
Responsibilities
- Execute payment runs in accordance with established operating procedures, ensuring payments are processed in line with required internal controls.
- Perform manual payments through various banking portals (taxes, government entities, international payments, among others) and follow up on the corresponding approvals with authorized bank signatories.
- Record payments in local ERP systems for all manual payment activities.
- Collaborate with other areas and functions (Treasury, O2C, A2R, and Tax) to align and improve payment-related deliverables.
- Support regional and global I2P projects by conducting testing and validating requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely remediation of identified findings and outstanding issues.
- Be responsible for bank reconciliations across all I2P accounts, identifying and proposing action plans to clear open items.
- Provide appropriate support to internal customers and external stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of compliance within the I2P process.
- Certified Public Accountant, graduate, or advanced student in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
