This is a key role within our U.S. team, responsible for compliant product development and delivery for the U.S. and Canadian markets. This role ensures our products not only meet regulatory standards but also drive market adoption and commercial success across these regions.
As the U.S. Product Compliance Lead, you will guide the organization in developing and delivering a regulatory-compliant offering for the U.S. and Canada. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our products meet regulatory requirements, are commercially viable, and align with client and market needs.
Duties
Work as a trusted member of the team, taking ownership and accountability for regulatory compliance across product delivery for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Client teams to ensure product features meet national and state regulatory and reporting requirements.
Engage with early customers to define compliance and regulatory requirements, setting clear expectations for product delivery.
Partner with the Sales team to provide compliance expertise in client pitches, RFPs, and sales engagements.
Support leadership in understanding emerging regulations, advising on priorities that impact product and business strategy.
Engage directly with regulators to obtain validation and feedback on compliance measures within our products.
Collaborate with Risk & Compliance and Information Security teams to support external audits, regulatory queries, and client due diligence.
Demonstrate the capabilities of our platform in meeting regulatory reporting and control requirements, highlighting its value to commercial partners.
Deliver effective product and capability enhancements that provide a competitive advantage and achieve a compliant, market-ready solution.
Act as the subject matter expert on product compliance, guiding commercial and product decisions and influencing the roadmap.
Requirements
Essential
Proven experience in regulatory compliance for banking or payment products in the U.S. and/or Canada.
Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage compliance requirements, escalating issues appropriately and tracking actions to resolution.
Strong collaboration skills, able to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulators.
Experience supporting commercial teams in bid activity and client engagements.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate product value and compliance benefits clearly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to balance regulatory obligations with commercial objectives and market opportunities.
Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and track record of delivery, driving tasks to completion and ensuring quality outcomes.
Desirable
Experience working with banking, e-money, payment services, or financial institutions in the U.S.
Understanding of North American financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Experience engaging with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Familiarity with product management and agile delivery environments.
Knowledge of information security and risk management practices.
Experience presenting to clients or stakeholders in a commercial or compliance context.
