Introduction Develop algorithms at the forefront of measurement technology and enable the data networks of tomorrow.
- Tasks You drive the development of innovative IP solutions and algorithms, with a primary focus on delivering solutions for Digital Design Test measurements.
- You work closely with interdisciplinary development teams to transfer complex algorithmic concepts into market-ready products, ensuring a seamless transition from theory to product implementation.
- You analyze current measurement technology requirements — specifically in areas such as De-embedding and signal integrity — to derive concrete algorithm concepts for new product generations.
- You evaluate scientific publications and patents to identify technological trends at an early stage and incorporate them into the product strategy to maintain a competitive edge.
- You represent Rohde & Schwarz at relevant specialist conferences and present research results to an international expert audience, where commercially viable.
- You actively participate in IEEE working groups and contribute to shaping industry-wide standards and norms to align them with product goals.
- Placeholder Job Ad Video (do not remove) Qualifications You have a completed degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electromagnetic theory – ideally complemented by a doctorate or a comparable academic qualification.
- You possess sound knowledge in signal processing and measurement technology; experience with De-embedding or high-frequency analysis is a significant advantage.
- You bring senior-level expertise in algorithm and IP development.
- You are familiar with working with international standardization bodies (e.g., IEEE) and understand the balance between academic publication and Intellectual Property (IPR) protection.
- You impress with strong abstract thinking, analytical reasoning, and an independent, self-responsible way of working – combined with structured problem-solving skills.
- Very good German and English skills (written and spoken) round off your profile.
