About this role
Now recruiting for an Academic Mentor, the Academic Mentor will support students in Years 7-11, helping to bridge achievement gaps caused by barriers such as attendance, behaviour, engagement with school, homework completion, organisation, and overall involvement in the school community.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Level 3 qualification or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar roleGCSE (Equivalent A* - C) including English and MathsExperience of working with secondary school aged studentsAbility to relate well with students, staff and parentsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage own workloadHigh level of communication skills with the ability to relate to students, parents, members of SLT and external agenciesEmpathy and understanding of the challenges faced by some students.Competent in the use of ICTProven ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of workProblem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
