About this role
This role will include working in our mixed F2 / KS1 class and then holistically contributing to the educational experiences of all our children. This role encompasses indoor and outdoor classroom work, interventions, supervision and engagement at unstructured times and contributing to the wider ethos and values of the school.
We are seeking:-
1.Someone who is competent in securing foundational knowledge in early years and key stage 1. Especially in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics.
2. Has experience of supporting children to learn and grow both academically and socially, creating confident, independent learners
3. Is able to work as part of a small team in a calm, nurturing, trauma informed, relational, learning environment
4. Someone who is able to be flexible and resilient in their approach to pupil support, being creative with their approaches and interactions to best meeting individuals needs.
Duties will include:-
Supporting children to learn in small groups and individual interventionsAssisting the teacher to complete evidence for learning assessments against the EYFS / KS1 curriculumClosing learning gaps with groups of children and supporting the class teaching in recording achievementsAssistance for teachers including administrative tasks, preparing resources, displaying work, organising the classroom, play time duties etc. Supporting the social, emotional and health needs of all children.
