JOB DESCRIPTION
- Maintain records for student attendance, check outs, etc.
- Determines appropriate processes for documenting absences in system for school and district level documentation
- Supports office staff in answering phones, greeting guests, and working with students to properly admit and document the attendance for enrollment purposes
- Maintains accurate records of parent notification of absence and tardies
- Alerts principal and school counselor of excessive tardies and/or absences
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: Minimum of high school diploma or GED; Strong organization skills; Strong computer skills – entry, database, spreadsheets; Excellent communications skills – oral and written; Customer service orientation in communicating with all stakeholders in person and on the phone.
SKILLS
Treats confidential information and sensitive situations with discretion; Ability to work in a hectic environment; Presents a professional image when representing BCSS through word, action and dress; Physical activities required to perform all job duties to include standing and/or sitting for long periods of time.
EXPERIENCE
Previous secretarial experience preferred.
