About this role
We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our GEAR Up program as tutors.
Position Types
- Peer Tutors – $15/hour
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students, at the freshman level
- Assist with understanding course material, completing assignments, and developing study skills
- Maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment
Peer Tutor Requirements
- Must be a student in good standing
- Strong attendance record
- Maintain an A average in coursework
- Demonstrated ability to tutor freshman-level classes
- Willingness to provide tutoring outside of scheduled class times
Professional Tutor Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in subject areas relevant to freshman-level courses
- Ability to provide tutoring outside of contracted hours
- Strong communication and instructional skills
