About this role
SCOPE
To assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of students. QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
- Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
REQUIRED:
- Valid State Driver’s license.
