Healthcare Assistant in Ireland with CareChoice CareChoice is one of Ireland’s leading providers of residential care, offering high-quality nursing, respite, dementia and long-term care services across multiple locations. With a strong focus on person-centred care, CareChoice is dedicated to supporting residents to live fulfilling lives in a warm, respectful and home-like environment. They have 15 care homes around Ireland including: Dublin, Cork, Meath, Waterford & Kildare.
- General Responsibilities Provide care to residents ensuring their independence is promoted and that residents’ dignity is always maintained.
- This will involve following your clients’ care plan - assistance with personal care and mobility.
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with residents and their families.
- Always adhering to confidentiality policy.
- Always ensuring resident safety.
- Deliver high quality care and assistance to our residents – personal care, toileting, moving & transferring.
- Communicate any changes or concerns in relation to resident needs/care.
- Adhere to Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control regulations.
- Assisting in maintaining a physical environment that is safe, peaceful, and comfortable for all residents and employees alike.
- Qualifications and Skills EU nationality/EU Passport (50/50 rule: Irish regulations require that at least 50% of staff in nursing homes are EU citizens).
- Healthcare/social care related qualification OR relative experience in a similar environment.
- Intermediate level of English (spoken and written) Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday is essential.
- Practical experience in a caring capacity desired.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
