- Uur per week: 32 Mensen met een Missie is an international cooperation and solidarity organisation that aims to change beliefs that lead to hatred and violence.
To achieve this, we have joined forces with around 100 partner organisations in Africa, Asia and Latin America. With people who have the courage to go against the grain, who stick their necks out and stand up for justice, inclusion and equality. Together we facilitate dialogue between people on each side of a conflict. We encourage consideration and discussion of harmful beliefs so that mutual hatred and mistrust can decrease. Our team in The Hague consists of about 30 people who work daily with passion and dedication to build a world without violence.
To strengthen our team , we are looking for a: Programme & Project Support Officer - Faith in Freedom Contract: Part-time (32 hours) Start date: As soon as possible Faith in Freedom is a new Mensen met een Missie programme that seeks to strengthen Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) and contribute to more peaceful and inclusive societies. The programme works in 9 countries, building on existing relationships and networks of civil society, faith-based and community actors. At the heart of Faith in Freedom is the principle that everyone should be free to hold, practise, change or abstain from a religion or belief without experiencing discrimination or violence.
For Mensen met een Missie, FoRB is closely connected to wider questions of dignity, equality, social cohesion and inclusive citizenship. Particular attention is given to the meaningful participation and leadership of women, youth and religious minorities.
