Freeman's Endowed Junior CE Academy is a friendly, inclusive, nurturing school with a big family feel, where everyone is treated with kindness, respect and understanding - our children love coming to school every day! Our staff work incredibly hard to provide an ambitious curriculum so that our children receive the best possible education. We are proud of our close links with St Barnabas School, which is our feeder infant school. Additionally, both schools are led and managed by the same Headteacher and Leadership Team - Our supportive leadership team are highly considerate of staff wellbeing and workload and strive to promote a positive working environment.

This role presents a unique opportunity to help address the needs of our children and their families, to help overcome barriers to learning.
We are seeking someone who:
Is able to work collaboratively with various members of the school community, including agencies, school staff, child and parents, to be a pivotal supportive link to help overcome barriers to learningUnderstands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare- both at home and in school.Is able to promote an effective relationship between home and school life, for both children and parents.Has knowledge and awareness of opportunities and resources to support children and families in need.Is able to maintain effective and efficient lines of communication between various groups and organisations throughout the community, to ensure essential support is available for familiesHas an understanding of procedures and systems involved in the role, including Social Services, Child Protection, Education Welfare Service policies and Reporting standards.Maintains an approachable, controlled and focused manner throughout their work, to relay both a positive and optimistic attitude to support those in challenging situations. Oftentimes the role may involve the ability to deal with a wide-ranging audience on challenging issuesHas previous experience of working with children and their familiesAbility to work effectively, flexibly and independently, with willingness to show initiative and strong interpersonal skillsIs keen to support the ethos of a Church school.In return, we will offer:
