The Library – Royal College of Art Permanent | 0.6 FTE | Kensington Campus
The Royal College of Art is seeking a collaborative and organised Journals & E-Resources Librarian to join its Library team within the Education and Student Success Directorate.
Working as part of the Collections & Systems strand, you will manage the Library’s print journals and electronic resources, ensuring effective access to high-quality scholarly content that supports teaching, research and creative practice across the College’s three campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Manage print journal and e-resource subscriptions, licences and renewals Maintain access to e-journals, databases and online platforms Monitor usage data and present statistics to support decision making Manage journals and e-resources budgets and expenditure Liaise with suppliers and sector partners, including Jisc Promote Library resources through guides, training and communications Contribute to enquiry services and collaborative Library projects
The role is primarily campus based, with occasional agreed home working. Evening and Saturday shifts are required on a rota basis.
About You
You will have:
A professional qualification in Library or Information Science Experience managing journals and e-resources in an academic or specialist library Experience managing budgets and analysing usage data Knowledge of e-resource access and academic publishing developments Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills
An interest in contemporary art, design and culture is desirable.
