About this role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within the Eastern Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network (ODN) for a full time Outreach driver.

We are looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Operational Delivery Network team by managing and driving the clinical outreach van to varied locations in the Eastern region. It is important to have a flexible working approach to this role as service needs can differ weekly.

A full clean British driving license is required

Main duties of the job

The role is to support the Operational Delivery Network by driving the clinical van to events, ensuring the van is well maintained, cleaned and well stocked. The role will also provide administrative duties and customer service skills in relation to community van and events.

The ability to work well under pressure, be organised and have excellent communication and administrative skills are essential. You must be able to liaise with staff at all levels, in a confident manner, be willing to learn and be able to work both independently and within a team. You must be well presented, friendly and welcoming to all and uphold our values of Safe, Kind and Excellent at all times

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Literate, with good English language skills (written and verbal) Full UK driving licence Flexibility with hours and days worked to accommodate service needs (available to work early mornings or later days when required)

Experience Essential

Previous experience as a driver Experience of dealing with members of the general public Experience of prioritising, planning, and organising own tasks Experience of working within guidelines

Desirable

Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations NHS experience

Knowledge Essential

Understanding of confidentiality and data protection Understanding good customer service Knowledge and understanding of infection control measures

Desirable

Knowledge of Hepatitis C and its impact Understanding of issues of diversity and the principles of equal opportunities, as they relate to both staff management and service provision.
