We have the opportunity to offer a temporary 9 month maternity leave cover within our Older Adult Community Mental Health Team sitting under the Older Adult Fylde Coast Portfolio, for a band 7 Team leader.

We are looking to appoint a confident, dynamic and committed leader who will have proven experience and skill for managing and leading a team with compassion, efficiency and be an effective communicator, who is able to demonstrate a solution focussed approach, alongside a ''can do'' attitude.

The successful candidate will take a lead on driving improvements, providing evidence based qualitative reports in meeting the national dementia strategy and ICB expectations, and working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider community.

Main duties of the job

o To actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the team in accordance with the Trust values and NMC code of conduct. HPC code etc.o To oversee and ensure that leadership within the multidisciplinary team provides effective assessment, formulation, planning and monitoring of care given to service users.o To support the Urgent care pathway and coordinate the development of your identified function.o To ensure that the service offers a team approach and delivers a rapid, intensive assessment and intervention service in order to meet the needs of those people experiencing a mental health issue.o To supervise and evaluate the team.o Be responsible for the day to day management of the team ensuring a responsive and effective service is offered.o The post holder will assist with the responsibilities for all aspects of the service

Person Specification

Education / Qualification Essential

Degree Level or equivalent experience and/or relevant core professional qualification (NMC or HPC registered) Teaching (ENB 998) or equivalent / demonstration of teaching / supervision experience.

Experience Essential

Evidence of extensive professional clinical Knowledge, skill and experience. Experience in managing change processes. Experience of clinical professional teaching in a community healthcare setting where appropriate

Skills Essential

Proven ability to manage and mitigate clinical risks. Knowledge of local health and social care structures.
