Job summary

We are seeking caring, motivated individuals who are keen to learn from our network of skilled practitioners and develop themselves within this area on a Bank basis.

Main duties of the job

To accept patients delegated by the physiotherapist and carry out assessment and treatment to agreed protocols/ procedures.

To treat patients individually or in a group in a variety of settings under the directsupervision or presence of a Physiotherapist.

To undertake a variety of clerical duties as delegated by the line manager.

To organise and manage a delegated caseload; obtain service data, analyse where appropriate and bring forward ideas for service development.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

Person Specification

Qualifications and/or Knowledge Essential

An appreciation of the principles of physiotherapy practices and procedures Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English grade C or above Technical qualification e.g. NVQ Level III or equivalent

Experience Essential

Previous experience of working in the care or leisure setting Experience of working in a busy and varied workplace including dealing with the public

Aptitude and Abilities Skills Essential

Organisational and time management skills Ability to work as part of a team Commitment to personal development Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to reflect and appraise own performance

Desirable

Welsh language speaking/listening skills at a Level 3 or above

Flexible Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn.
